Important Auction Changes
To improve efficiency and provide a clearer bidding experience, the following auction format updates:
Two Weekly Auctions
Encore Auctions will host two auctions each calendar week, each featuring approximately 10,000 items.Auction Closing Times
Each auction will close in the evening, beginning at 6:00 PM and running until approximately 11:00 PM (ET).Items Under $40
In general, individual items with a retail value under $40 will not be listed separately. Some lower-value items may be bundled.
Limited exceptions may apply.Starting Bids
All lots will have a starting bid of $1. Bidding increments remain unchanged.Proxy (Max) Bidding
Proxy bidding is allowed. Max bids will be accepted; however, bidders should ensure they are fully comfortable winning the lot at their entered maximum amount.
The bid amount entered may be the final winning price, plus buyer’s premium and handling fees.

Payment & Pickup Policy Updates
- Manual Credit Card Payments: We will no longer automatically charge credit cards after the auction. If you choose to pay by credit card, a 2% processing fee will apply.
- Restocking Fees for Unpaid Orders: Any unpaid orders after the pickup deadline will incur a restocking fee equal to our buyer’s premium + seller’s commission.
- No More Curbside Pickup: Customers will now enter the building to pay and pick up their orders. We will have testing stations available for those who wish to check their items before leaving.
- Extended Pickup Window: You now have 5 days to pick up your items following the auction!
- Shipping Requests & Payment Deadline: Shipping requests must be submitted within 48 hours of the auction closing, and payment must be received within this timeframe. Requests not completed on time will be considered late, and items will be deemed abandoned. The card on file will be charged starting Tuesday at 9:00 AM (ET).
