From your first watchlist to pickup day, here’s how to make your next find a good one.
Create your HiBid account
Sign in with your own details, then register for the Encore auction you want to join. Read its terms before you start.
Get to know the lot
Check the lot’s photos and notes for condition, dimensions, included pieces and quantity. Ask questions before placing a bid.
Set your total budget
Your final cost includes more than your bid. Allow for the fees below and check whether a multiple-quantity lot is priced per item.
Bid with a plan
Choose your maximum and follow each lot’s countdown. Late bids can extend closing, so watch the timer rather than assuming a fixed finish.
Pay your invoice
For pickup orders, pay by 9 AM Eastern on Friday after the auction. Follow your invoice instructions; payment isn’t automatically taken at auction close.
Book your pickup
Reserve the required appointment and bring your paid invoice. Check vehicle space and bring help for heavy items. Arrange shipping separately if needed.

A few useful things to know before you make your next bid.
Visit the full FAQsDo all lots close at noon?
No. Sunday’s auction begins closing at 12 PM Eastern, with lots closing in sequence. A late bid can extend a lot’s closing time. Follow the countdown shown on HiBid.
Are all the items brand new?
Encore offers a mix of returns, open-box and overstock goods. Each lot can differ, so read its condition notes and examine its own photos before bidding.
Can I cancel a bid?
Placed bids are commitments and cannot be cancelled. Check the amount, lot number and quantity carefully before you confirm.
What do I need for pickup?
Book an appointment, bring your paid invoice and collect by your invoice’s deadline. The usual collection window is five calendar days after auction close; holiday weeks can be shorter. See the pickup FAQs.
Can I have my items shipped?
Shipping is arranged through the independent provider pkgPlace. Contact them within three days after auction close. Choosing shipping during registration does not book it. Read the shipping instructions before bidding.
What if I need help with an item?
Review the Return Policy for eligibility and reporting deadlines. Contact our team before bringing an item back; approval and the original packaging may be required.
